Patient Grateful for Emergency Department, CT Scan

by editor on February 17, 2012

I went to the Methodist Women’s Hospital Emergency Room on the morning of January 25th.

The ER doctor made the call of ordering a CT scan which showed that I had Diverticulitis, Gall Bladder issues and a tumor on my kidney the size of a softball.

His decision to order a CT saved my life.

I am ever so grateful to him. I recently had my kidney removed and the cancer is contained – Thank God…

I keep thinking the doctor could have given me a prescription, sent me home and told me to make a follow-up appointment with my physician – which I might of just blown off.

All I can say was the nurses and doctor at the Methodist Women’s Hospital were superb and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back there again if needed.
